Years ago in my early years as a LLL Leader, I recall someone saying
that a chubby breastfed baby has larger fat cells vs more fat cells
while the chubby formula baby has more fat cells. The idea was that
it's harder later in life to reduce the number of fat cells, but the
bodyu can easily shrink the cells. Has anyone else heard this? Any
references. I thought it was an intriguing idea, but never saw anything
published. ZI think it came from one of the early LLL Medical Advisors.

My husband was the first to point out to me the difference in the feel
of "fat" on a breastfed baby vs formula fed. The breastfed "fat" baby
feels firmer while the fat on a formula baby seems to "ooze between your
fingers" when you hold them. Has anyone else noticed this?

Winnie
