Donna

Our Nursing Mothers Association of Australia information states that
"frozen milk must not be allowed to thaw during transportation. If some
milk does thaw, it must be used within 24 hours".
I guess it would then be at room temperature, but then possibly you
would need to know how long it had been stored before it was frozen.
Another consideration would be that the baby is only getting an
occasional feed with this milk and that Chloe is a healthy, presumably
older baby (?).
Do we know what happens to milk as it ages? I was under the impression
that rather than go off it "dies". However if it has been frozen, is it
still "alive" (I often think of it in similar terms to yoghurt with the
live culture!)
I would be interested in other views too.
