I got my rat terrier puppy at barely 6 weeks of age - probably not really ready to leave her mom yet. To this day, now almost 4 years, when she is tired she will suck on the edge of a "furry" blanket and knead it with her paws as nursing puppies do. I wonder if she had weaned "naturally" some of her other behaviors wouldn't be so neurotic!?!?
