I'm not supporting this Mum, just know of her situation, and am seeking
knowledge and answers for myself.

First born, good weight, normal unmedicated birth. Baby alert and happy
on delivery. Placed on Mum, would not latch.

No rooting behaviour, no bobbing, no licking, no sniffing. Baby just
totally not interested in the breast.

Mum pumped, and now, three months later, in exactly the same position.
Some initial stress over trying to get it right, but Mum took advice to
not stress baby and just go with the flow. Baby has no tongue tie,
doesn't appear to have problems opening mouth, has seen a qualified baby
osteopath, who said nothing was wrong with baby and it required no
massage or adjustment.

Baby has latched on and fed for a few moment once, about three weeks in,
when Mum was highly engorged. Otherwise, zilch. Baby and Mum have been
seen by both LLLL and IBCLC. Mum and baby spent a lot of time skin to
skin, baby is worn in a sling, Mum takes hot baths with baby etc. She
is now resigned to EPing. When baby is placed near breast, doesn't
react at all. Just lies there.

Thoughts?
