Karen, I have an example of a weird complication. I hope I haven't
posted this before - I know I have to my local list, but not to
Lactnet, I don't think.

It's a conversation a colleague had earlier this year with a
healthcare professional (a midwife or possibly a neo-natal nurse)
from her local hospital's Special Care Baby Unit. This was after
hearing a talk by Nils Bergman on the importance of skin to skin.

'I can see this would be a good thing, but we can't do it in our
unit, 'cos there isn't enough room to put chairs for the mothers to
sit in.'

This was said, according to my colleague, with no eye rolling or
sense of irony or anger....just acceptance.

'Weird' complication, indeed.
