Susan: I think your reaction (to the mom pregnant with twins who ordered a
pump) was a normal one. One reason we all recoil from being the "enabler" in
these situations is that we know how much trouble moms can get into as they
try to "make things easier." While the person is telling me they need a pump
before baby is born my mind is already racing ahead to all the office visits
and phone calls I may have ahead of me: nipple confusion, crying mom, crying
baby(s), supply problems, disappointment, regrets...
