Assunta,
My friend with the latch on problems is supporting her breast, they
aren't to big or to small, her nipples are perfect for feeding. I
will suggest the Dancer hold to her. She positioning herself and
baby perfectly and he attatchs really well, gives one suck and falls
off, so she just keeps reattaching him and so it goes on. I have
suggested a nipple shield now unfortunately. I just feel that after
2 weeks, she is not going to put up with this for too much longer, so
think that if he sucks from the shield, at least he is breastfeeding.
I have however also told her persevere to the best of her ability
until he is at least 40 weeks gestation.
