Marie, check out this baby. You've focused on the mom very thoroughly. In my
experience, the problem is often the baby who is AT breast, but not EATING
(removing milk). The tip-off is your assessement of 3 sucks per swallow and
"asthma."  Could be vagus nerve compression, which could easily produce these
signs, or other birth insult. My hunch is a poor suck, either from birth
insult or meds, or cranial bone misalignment causing nerve compression. Try
pumping after feeds for a week or so - I bet her supply goes shooting up. If
it does, you've identified the problem, and it's not mom.
