Dear Carolyn, I feel uncomfortable with MOST of her suggestions.
Where do you live in Britain? are you near any of our great English
Lactnetters?

Brits: How much leeway does this mom have in GB to put her foot down and
tell this woman to get out of her life?

1. Continue using the double pump. I'd suggest after a feed or inbetween.
2. Feed as often as baby wakes to be fed (1 1/2 to 3 hr max) Be sure and
follow the principle of finishing the first breast first (more
hindmilk.)
3. Top off with your own pumped milk. Let it sit a little and skim off
the top milk (richer).
4. Baby is only to be compared to himself, not the curves on the chart.

Once this person is out of your life, be sure and complain to her
supervisor about her lack of good BF info!
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
