Oops, sent this to the case study list by mistake.

I find that many new moms tend to move slowly when bringing baby on
to breast (especially if she's
gotten sore and is anticipating more discomfort).  I like to place
my hand over hers and help her
bring baby to breast quickly.  I usually tell her babies often open
wide and then close the mouth and
she needs to move faster than baby.  Sometimes, without explanation
as to what my intention is,
moms think I'm "pushing" baby on hard.  I tell her it's quick, not
firm.
