Went to web site and checked it out, but as a nursing co-sleeping mom, would
think it is unrealistic and not the way I co-sleep. I would never put a baby
at my head and I don't even put the newborn between daddy and I. It is baby,
mommy, daddy until the little one can bite dad if he gets to close. <Smile>
(Okay, at least be able to roll over, scream or something unless dad is a
light sleeper and doesn't thrash about too much--not sure I trust dad's
mothering instinct as much as I trust mom's, but am willing to accept I could
be wrong.) In the newborn period I would say I make my own nest by laying on
my side, baby near breast, one arm around babe and one arm over. I don't
think babes need protection from a nursing mom rolling over the same way I
don't need a rail for myself so I don't fall out of my bed. (I don't like to
say the same for bottlefeeding moms since I am not sure if they share the
same hormone/biological bizarre connection lactation seems to cause i.e. I am
able to wake moments before my baby needs to nurse, start leaking in the
grocery store when baby wakes at home, etc.)BUT, for a
breastfeeding/co-sleeping dyad, this unit seems more awkward to me. Pull the
baby down? Slide the baby up? I don't wake up long enough to do those
things. <Smile> As for it working in a hospital setting, aren't those
hospital beds a little narrow? I slept on them with the baby in the crook of
my arm, but if I moved my arm, there would have been very little room for the
baby to sleep beside me. If it makes moms feel safer great, but I don't
think it is necessary and I doubt I would recommend it as something you need.
Kind of like other baby gadgets, "that's nice, but....for how long and why
bother".

Just my oh so very humble opinion not even worth the usual 2 cents.
