Dear Lactnet Friends:

Thank you Alice for the information about B12. You sent me to the books for
information.

I didn't find much that shows B12 deficiency to be a problem for all but
those folks suffering from pernicious anemia, the elderly and those whose
diets lack animal protein. It is interesting to learn that a high intake of
folate may mask a B12 deficiency.

There is so much we don't know. The more we discover, the more questions we
have.

Meanwhile, it will take a while to determine if there is truly a increase
in prevalence of TT/UT/LT. Remember that the mythology about midwives
having one long fingernail to revise a tie came from somewhere; perhaps
tight frenula are common variations of normal, like supernumerary nipples?

What do you all think?

warmly,
