Hi Liz,
How about writing about lactation for postpartum nurses (I see you are
an RN, this gives you credibility with this group), or mentoring student
nurses part time.  Perhaps you could do some lobbying or political
action in your area (though this can feel like swimming upstream, it can
have concrete results to encourage you).  In any case, congratulations
on your retirement.
