(sung) This is the post that never ends ... it just goes on and on my
friends!

All kidding aside, I'm stepping out of lurkdom once again to pass along a
suggestion about this case from my husband, a medical student and a lover of
medical mysteries. He suggested that there is the possibility of salmonella
in the gall bladder. Because it's fecal-oral transmission, perhaps a child
who ate food infected with the salmonella passed it inadvertently to the
baby, where it then took up residence in the gut. Symptoms can definitely
include watery green stools with a little blood. Cultures may not have
caught it, depending on what you were culturing for.

Any thoughts from Lacnetters?

On a personal note, I cannot tell you how much I love reading all your
posts. From the thrill of seeing famous lactation specialists such as Kathy
Dettwyler and Linda Smith, to reading through amazing information, it's a
pleasure each and every day to be a part of this group.

job keep getting in the darned way! :) Someday .... maybe this summer?)
