To play devil's advocate as a mom who EPed for her first child and then
EBF'd her second, I took the ad a WHOLE other way.

A great deal of breastfeeding mothers MUST pump these days. Remember, there
are mothers who return to the work place and are not able to take their
babies with them. This makes pumping a necessity. I don't actually know of
any breastfeeding mothers who have not purchased a pump because all but one
of the breastfeeding mothers I know had to return to work.

With that in mind, I read the ad as saying "We know how valuable your time
is, so invest in the best quality pump to make sure you get to spend more of
that time with baby."

I've used six or seven different pumps and the amount of time it took to
express milk with each of them varied dramatically. I'm talking 15 minutes
of pumping verses 30 minutes of pumping. For a mom who EPed that's a
dramatic difference.

I in no way saw it as saying that pumping instead of direct nursing would
save you time.
