Hi Joy,
Does she have any edema? Sometimes that inhibits supply. Correct me if I'm
wrong everyone, but I think there is more chance of edema with an epidural or
cesearian section birth. Certainly pain and stress could be a factor also.

There is a wonderful postpartum herb bath that is helpful for edema and
healing. I'm not sure one can use it with an incision.
A lot of home birth moms in our community use it. I used it with my last
birth and it's WONDERFUL. Its comfrey, shepherds purse, uva ursi, calendula
flowers, garlic and sea salt.
