Just a quick note on nausea during either pregnancy or nursing (or other
situations such as chemo and motion sickness)...While I do think in this
situation that Jennifer's more comprehensive suggestions should be
investigated, there is a relatively new product on the market for nausea.
It is called the RELIEF BAND and has recently been approved by the FDA for
use in pregnant women (by Rx) and is OTC for other uses such as motion
sickness. I am a big puker (as my family says) when travelling and found
this gadget helped immensely during my 6 flights to and from ILCA. It is
worn on the rest (like the older Sea Bands) but emits an electrical pulse
similar to a TENS unit. Cost might be a factor (it retails for over $100),
but for those of us who can afford it, anything that works with drugging is
a welcome relief. I think there is a website under the name RELIEF BAND
(and NO, I don't have any financial interest in the company--just a
satisfied customer). Previous to using it, I had recommended it to several
of my moms with hyper-emesis and they said it was the only thing that worked
including Rx meds.
