Dimpled cheeks mean the cheeks are collapsing when the baby sucks.  The
most usual reason for this is that the baby is latched shallowly and
there is a lot of empty space in the mouth, which is meant to be full of
breast so the tongue and cheeks are stable.  The slurping noises and
clicking can be consistent with tongue tie, which can be the cause of
the shallow latch.  If you don't know how to show the mom an
asymmetrical latch to get more breast in the baby's mouth, and how to
assess the lingual frenulum, ask for help from a more experienced IBCLC,
and go along to the consult so you can learn too.
