Subject: AAP statement on Tongue Tie lack of evidence?

Hello LACTNETTERS -

I have a physician giving a lecture at my hospital tomorrow evening. Dr. Rajeev Agarwal is a pediatrician who specializes in frenotomy in the Phoenix area. One of the docs who is planning to attend just informed me that the AAP has come out with a statement last month which claims that intervention for tongue tie cannot be supported due to lack of evidence. Not sure how I missed this. Can anyone point me in the right direction to read this ahead of tomorrow's lecture?

Thank you,

Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
