Megan has asked about using my previous post on the problems with Lipil. You
certainly have my permission to circulate the post to whomever you think
might need to hear or see it! The marketing of both Lipil and Similac Advance
has gotten to the point where NABA just received a notice that a nurse had
told a mother in the hospital that Lipil contained breast milk! Any confusion
regarding what is in either of these products should immediately be reported
to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Better Business Bureau. The FTC
has a web site, www.ftc.gov, where you can register a complaint about the
false and misleading advertising that is causing mothers to purchase these
formulas thinking that they act like breast milk. The more complaints that
are registered, the more likely the FTC will look at this issue. Please do
your "duty" and report, report, report.
