Hi all,

I have a mother of a 4 month old who is experiencing what she called
plugged ducts on a monthly basis. The symptoms she describes are more
consitent with mastitis except that she never gets a fever with it. The
affected breast feels more dense,is fuller than the other breast. She
doesn't skip feedings and pumps x2 while at work. There are no plugged
nipple pores. Restrictive clothing has also been ruled out.
Her own treatment is to put the heating pad on the breast and sleep on it.
That has always been successful in resolving the pain and redness.

Any other suggestions besides application of heat and feed the baby?

Thanks,
Christine
