Dear Carrie and all,

There are certainly lots of good books.  But if the mom is going to read only one book, I would like to recommend the new 8th edition of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. Not only it is fully updated, comprehensive and all-in-one, it has the collective wisdom of real mothers.  By reading the book, you feel like being supported by other breastfeeding moms, like someone talking and sharing with you. 

And this is exactly what a new mom needs.
