In an article called "Outsmart Your Family History" they talk about cancer
risk reduction strategies you can control.

Under "Breast Cancer" they say:

"Go easy on the estrogen. Prolonged exposure to estrogen without a break
(due to pregnancy, breast-feeding or birth control, for example) makes your
more susceptible to breast cancer. You can lower your lifetime estrogen
exposure by shedding extra pounds (extra fat cells make extra estrogen),
avoiding menopausal hormone replacement therapy and consuming less red meat
and dairy (they may contain hormones, and their high cholesterol levels up
your breast cancer odds)."

If anyone would like to write them to correct and clarify, contact the
Editor-In Chief Linda Fears at [log in to unmask]

(FYI - they are also in the same publishing group as "American Baby")
