An LC friend wanted me to consult with the Lactnet about a trend ( that seems
like an epidemic ) that's happening in her area. Dr's are freely prescribing
medications for P.P. depression. The most prescribed is Zoloft. The question
is of all the medications; Zoloft, Paxil, Effexor or Prozax, which is the
best for a breastfeeding mom. The meds are givin out like prenatal vitamins &
has my friend in a worry. I know that some of those meds have been addressed
on the Lactnet but my filing system is in piles. Hope Dr. Hale responds to
this note.
