I am very sorry that BF in church is an issue with anyone. It did not occur to
me not to bf in church when my children were small. I nursed during the
service, during women of the church luncheons, while serving as circle chair,
while serving as circle Bible moderator, while serving as committee
chair......Only once did I thank someone for letting me know that there was a
crib room for babies during services! It was important to me that being at
church was not equated with being in the torture chamber---my children did not
like being separated from me when they were young, so I kept them with me.

Maybe the part of the US or the church size or the denomination make some
difference. I am in the south, attend a Presbyterian Church that has 2300
members. I was an elected ruling elder during the nursing years.

The quote from the Lutheran pastors was lovely.
