Just wanted to get my $.02 in before I zoom off in my rusty car for WI
(Mosquito ville). I have had the opportunity of working with several
employees who have collected gallons of milk while working full time and I
want to pass along some information (one of them donated more than a gallon
to research because her freezer was too full). What they are doing is
"training" the baby to take just 1 breast at the morning feeding starting
around 4 weeks of age. They pump off the other breast. This reinforces and
sets up the gi-normous morning milk supply. Mom goes off with well-drained
(?-- I hesitate to use "empty" in this forum!) breasts, knowing that she has
already left a feeding for her baby. Then, if she pumps twice at work....
she's keeping up with the demand. I don't know if the air in my hospital
makes women produce lots of milk or not, but this technique has worked VERY
WELL for these mothers. (I do know that the air in my office has a laxative
effect on even the most constipated of babies.....)

Queen Du Braah, waiting with baited breath for the photo of Lactnet and my
software bug which is currently belly up.
