Regarding the scale inquiry, I have used the Tanita BLB-12 scale in our 
breastfeeding clinic and NICU for a number of years and have found it very 
sturdy, user friendly, and accurate.  I believe it was around $600 to $700 
dollars. The standard conversion is 1gram-1ml.
