I've had excellent results with every mom i've counseled for axillary
breast tissue that was engorged and/or leaking even a fashion model some 3
years ago;
I have them alternate use of cabbage leaves 24 hours a day switching when
they become "cooked" and every 2 hours a folded " wet&frozen" disposable
diaper for 20 minutes max they don't leak all over and within 3-7 days the
"breast tissue" was diminished to a tolerable and gradually involuted
condition. Try it You'll like it !

Secondly I have great successes with mom's nursing only 1 sided, wrap in
cabbage 24 hours a day (break for feeds) or pumping or hand expressing
enough to be comfortable and decreasing amount of pumping volume by 1/2 to
1 ounce per pumping per day ie. 4 ounces every 3 hours day 1, 3 ounces
every 3 hours day 2,
and day 3, drop to 2 ounces every 3 hours day 4 (maybe day 5 too ) then 1
ounce every 3 hours day 6, day 7 pump 1/2 ounce every 3 hours or as needed
by mom Follow pumpings with liberal application of cabbage leaves. 7 days
of "silly cabbage" is alot easier than 1 year of bottles.

If this doesn't work I 've seen an Ob/gyn who wanted to avoid Parlodel use
and used combined estrogen/progesterone contraceptives for 1 month until
supply diminished to an acceptable level, OC's can be used loner as needed
and stopped or switched to progesterone only as needed.......for this "new
mom LC wannabe",this "time" will be a great lesson in patience and
endurance that many of us "Lactation Specialists" have as a quality that
makes sets us apart from the average healthcare provider who lacks the
patience to use "tincture of time"
