That law does not apply to jury duty. Federal district court's set their own
rules. For ex, a BF mom would be able to get an exemption in NJ federal
court under the childcare exemption. She should seek an exemption, not
bring the child to court. This is not a case that needs publicity unless
the court refuses her the exemption. You can see the LLL website for
information regarding jury duty (lalecheleague.org). You may also be able to
find the court on line and its policies regarding jury duty (ex--NJ has
theirs own line). Also see familyfriendlyjuryduty.org
