I was pleased to see Allicia Dermer's comments about HIV transmission.

There is an article (I think it is 1988 or 1989, Pediatrics) which states
quite clearly that women exposed to the virus will, if infected, begin
developing antibodies wtihin 6 weeks to 3 months after that exposure.  If
the woman in question was negative early in pregnancy and has remained
negative, it seems HIGHLY UNLIKELY that she was infected.  Thus,
breastfeeding would pose NO risk.

I will be curious if Dermer brings back new information that contradicts
the above.
