Recently I saw hydrogel presented at an in hospital wound care in service.
There was the sheet type mentioned by Patricia which came in several
thicknesses and there was another type that came in a tube (just the gel,
without the plastic backing. I can see a use for both types. Picture a
fissured nipple - wouldn't the plain gel seem more appropriate? Does
anyone have any experience with this? My worry would be the ability to
remove the gel prior to nursing.

With sheet type, can it be molded into a cone shape to place over the
nipple for those wounds that are more on the tip?

Very intriguing stuff! Thanks for the update Patricia.
