Hello all,
I am in need of some help again from all of you hospital based lactation
consultants. We have instituted some policies to avoid nipple confusion in
the breastfeeding baby when they need supplements. Initially these policies
were approved by the pediatricians, but are meeting some resistance now that
we are utilizing these policies. Therefore, I'd like to gather some
information for the pediatricians here about what is done in other
locations.

Please email me privately since, a) I'm nomail through the holidays, and b)
I think it will be easier to share private email data with the pediatricians
than sharing the whole lactnet digest. I would like to know by what means
you supplement a breastfed baby (term or preterm, if these are different)
when there is an order from the pediatrician to supplement. Also what is
your policy regarding pacifer usage. Lastly, please tell me your location,
so that I can use that for comparision sake.

Thank you in advance for helping me with this project.
