Well.........I've been using a variation.

15 g. betamethasone 0.1% ointment
15 g. nystatin ointment (100,000 u)
22.5 g. mupirocin ointment (size it comes in in US)

I give the moms a clean urine cup, tell her to squezze them all in, stir 
well and use sparingly. (also works on diaper rash :-)

I deal with an inner city population, many on medicaid or limited Rx plans. 
They can't afford the compunding pharmacy rates :-(  also transportation is 
limited to get around, so they usually go to chains.  (Chains throw up their 
hands in horror when I write it Dr. Jack's way.)

Someone else has mentioned on Lactnet that mupirocin seems to work OK by 
itself.  Maybe the slight differences in grams makes the mupirocin more 
effective.  I don't know, but it works.  I've been chicken to try mupirocin 
solo.  Pat in SNJ (APN,C - I can write Rxs.)
