Rachel,

When you say "naturallyoccurring channel palate", do you mean caused by intra-uterine fascial restriction rather than by the placement of an NG tube?

If so, then bodywork would be key to release fascial restriction and normalize the structure of the palate. There is a chiropractor in Oslo Thorleif Henning-Monsen who has his Master's in peds and is well-versed in infant oral anatomy. I know it's not a short drive but perhaps he can recommend someone else or it would be worth the drive.

PalateDoes anyone have suggestions for 1) alleviation of maternal pain withfeeding and 2) improving milk transfer in a well child with a naturallyoccurring channel palate? Have identified it by comparing with picture inBF atlas. Did not find practical guidance in Wolf and Glass or CW Genna.Weight gain faltering after initial period of oversupply and mother nearingend of rope.Rachel Myr,Kristiansand, Norway
