I have written about this at length before.  There is **no** reason to
stop for an MRI scan even with contrast.  Gadolineum has a short half
life (about 40-60 minutes), and will be completely out of the mother's
body by 6 hours after the injection.  So why 48 hours?  But why even 6
hours?  This drug is injected into babies getting MRI scans.  There is
no evidence that it is harmful.

Don't stop breastfeeding.  She can say she will if they give her a hard
time, but they are not interested in her or her baby's welfare, really.
They are doing this because the company that makes it says so and
everyone in the world is ape s...t frightened of litigation.
