Esther- my thoughts are with you.  Anecdotally, I went
to Israel and Egypt for a whirlwind 2 week trip when
my dd was just under 3.  Upon my return she split both
nipples so I waited until they healed- about 2 more
weeks.  She brought my supply up again, nursing only
occasionally.  I took Blessed Thistle briefly.  She
weaned a year later when I was pregnant.  (although
she asks now and then, but only when Benno is nursing,
and then never remembers to ask again when I can spend
time teaching her how again.)
