Hi,  

The only insight I can offer on this is that my nipples get sore every month, around ovulation, and they stay sore until the day I get my period.  They don't get so bad that they are cracked and bleeding, though.  I have a friend who has also experience the same nipple soreness, so it must not be *too* uncommon....
