Many years ago (over 25! :-)  I had a mom with a regular battle with her
mom.  Everytime  grandmom came to visit she hassled mom re: giving baby a
bottle.  It had really gotten unbearable and was causing all sorts of hard
feelings. So mom boiled a bottle of water in advance of each visit and
grandmom got to "give baby a bottle."  Everything smoothed out.  It seemed
to have something to do with grandmom's feeling of not being needed if she
couldn't "feed" baby the way she fed "her" baby.  (Yes, she could have used
expressed milk, but this was in the days before Marmet technique and/or
decent pumps).  This mom went on to BF 3 babies  a couple of years each.
