I think what we're all saying is that while breastfeeding doesn't *cause*
trouble with family dynamics, it magnifies whatever is already happening
there, kind of like parenting in general does.  Having a baby or nursing
that baby won't save a marriage that is in distress, but where the parents
are already mature, giving people, attached parenting can deepen that
relationship.

A few months ago i worked with a family that was really a triad.  It was so
wonderful to see!  It wasn't motherbaby with dad looking on, or even
motherbaby with dad trying very hard to be helpful.   Mom and Dad were
already a unit, and they parented together, with the knowledge that each of
them have separate strengths.  And this was a young couple in their 20s.  I
bet they will still be married 50 years from now, because they have a skill
set that many older couples still don't have.
