There was a post a few days ago about the Love and Logic method of
parenting. Since I am a L&L "follower" and have read quite a bit about it
(though, admittedly, not everything) I wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I
believe in L7L and feel it can be very effective in terms of teaching
responsibility. The main emphasis, from my perspective, is letting kids
make choices, and then letting them live with the consequences of those
choices. While I don't agree with every example that is presented, I do
agree with most of it.

For the record, I also believe in co-sleeping and attachment parenting and I
absolutely don't believe in any kind of "crying it out". I coordinate my
hospital's childbirth and parent ed program and we offer Love and Logic
classes and my instructor also is a co-sleeping, attachment parenting,
extended breastfeeding proponent. I say this to point out that L&L is not
exclusive of these kinds of parenting philosophies.
