Isn't there some rule about surgeons not operating on their own family?
They bring that scenario on tv shows all the time! There is no such thing
as an objective mother or grandmother. Even when just a
sister/sister-in-law, I have learned caring for your own family member is
difficult and best to be delegated to someone else (who we know or have
checked out). There is too much "relationship" in the way that prevents our
family member from listening to us as a professional instead of a family
member giving some advice. We want to "fix it", while not overstepping.
Like standing on a teter totter, you're going to fall.
