I have this and what helped me the most was a diuretic, I think Maxide 25mg
q day. Low dose Valium sometimes is used and Antivert or Dramamine type
meds. Sometimes positioning maneuvers done by an ENT help. It didn't help
me. I searched about these illnesses lots and did not see bf mentioned as a
cause or contributing factor. I happened to be bf a child, but I had bf her
for 5+yrs so I don't attribute it to that. Sometimes benign paroxysmal
vertigo, or something like that, is the culprit and it is self limiting. The
meneire's is dx by an ENT and can involve a mild hearing loss. There are
occasional flare-ups but usually the first episode is pretty bad. I was
incapacitated for days/even weeks.
