Just asked my Packaging Engineer husband (COLiC's Father) about the source of
the phthalates.  His answer is that it is in almost all food product cans as it
is from the vinyl plastisol sealant used as a gasket where cans are sealed.
Ends and side joints.

So I guess another reason for avoiding canned foods - not just formula!
