   Your post jogged my memory, Gary L Freed, et al. "National Assessment
of Physicians' Breast-feeding Knowledge, Attitudes, Training and
Experience" JAMA Feb 8 1995, Vol 273. No  6 pages 472 -476.
    I'd completely forgotten about this, but it is great on what (Peds,
Obs & Fam Prac MDs) learn, know, and the information (or misinformation)
they give concerning breastfeeding.
    He also wrote another article, "Breastfeeding, Time to Teach What We
Preach" JAMA, Jan 13, 1993, Vol 269, No 2 page 243, that may be worth a
look.
