Thought I'd share this with everyone, based on a question I recently
received. When you are in business in the USA, you need to keep your
records for the lifetime of the business plus 7 years. Many accountants
have said this and so, get a big filing cabinet. Especially if you do
business with the government, like I take Medicaid. If you don't believe
me, just read the financial section of the paper for a few weeks and see how
many businesses are being chased by the state Attorney General, the Internal
Revenue, and other governing agencies.
