Wonderful Trish. Baby steps closer.
Just today I got a packetload of books from Amazon that included two
breastfeeding picture books. I think that these books would both be helpful
in cases where women are attempting to breastfeed older adopted children or
in cases like yours Trish. They are called 'I'm Made of Mamas Milk' (has
many photos of breastfeeding babies and toddlers) and 'Breastmilk makes my
tummy yummy' (has line drawings). I particularly like the second book. A
year ago when I was looking for books that showed young children
breastfeeding to show my daughter what it was I wanted her to do I had
buckleys of finding anything. My daughter was was adopted one year ago at 3
years and has been breastfeeding for about 9 months- breastfeeding has been
magic for us!!- I just wrote up our story and have sent it to a magazine for
consideration- we'll see. Looking at breastfeeding pictures and pictures of
mums and babies was really important for her in learning how to be in a
family and that babies get milk from their mamas. Never say never indeed
Trish. My motto is its never to late to breastfeed!

never".)
