The best treatment for diarrhea and vomiting in the breastfed baby is
continue breastfeeding.  The Canadian Pediatric Society (even them)
says that.  The mother does not have to follow the physician's
advice--it is only advice.  The baby will probably get better more
quickly by continuing breastfeeding.  You do not have to prove that
the baby should continue breastfeeding.  The physician should bring
studies that suggest that it is better not to breastfeed.
