To add to Linda Smith's post about birth practices and HCP's 
responsibility for informing people, I would like to add that it is also 
each individual's responsibility to make sure they are adequately informed 
and not expect the medical profession to tell do all their work for them. 
That is called accountability and it goes both ways.
