Every mom will have a different concept of "express until comfortable" and some may interpret this as "until I don't feel any milk is there" which would definitely be counterproductive.  I tend to say something like, "express only if you need to take a little out so you don't feel like you are going to burst" or some similar comment.  I want her to know she doesn't have to feel like her breasts will explode, but she may feel quite full as her breasts adjust to the decreased removal.
