and all I want to know is when can I be an IBCLC Emeritus.
I don't look forward to taking the test in 2016 for the 4th time!
~~~ Well said, and something I admit I've been harping about for years. As
a licensed Physical Therapist, I had to sit in a room with 3 licensed,
experienced PTs and role play several patient scenarios while they watched, as
well as take the written exam another day. My license ( which is a state
license) is renewed every 3 years by Continuing Education, which we are
asked to keep track on  the honor system! Our profession seems to both  respect
us and trust us a lot more than IBLCE does. Taking an entry-level exam  over
and over again just seems a waste of resources on everyone's part. I don't
mind filling in those forms at the 5 year mark and submitting for
recertification. If only they would let us do that instead of retesting at ENTRY
level....
Peace,
Judy
